Reviews for Ah B Kopitiam
Review highlights
Based on 249 reviewsAh B Kopitiam is widely recognized for its authentic and flavorful local dishes, particularly its prawn noodles and Pan Mee, which many patrons praise for closely resembling traditional Malaysian and Penang-style flavors. The restaurant’s variety of offerings, including unique items like bitter gourd babi noodles and well-executed breakfast staples such as croissants with butter and kaya, contribute to its appeal. Customers appreciate the generous portion sizes and consistent quality over time. The casual, no-frills setting with attentive service adds to the neighborhood kopitiam charm. While some note the prawn sizes are small, the overall taste and balanced spice levels receive positive notes, with flexibility around chili preferences enhancing the dining experience.
The reviews convinced me to come & yes the prawn mi is authentic. If u've tasted the real thing in pg, this is so close though the soup is spicy enough to clear yr sinuses so ask them to go light on the chilli if u dont want a runny nose. All the stalls r owned by the shop so just sit & staff will come attend to u. The prawns r micro sized but numerous enough so all is forgiven.
Bitter gourd babi noddles . Croissant the butter & kaya good. Kopi biasa only.
Let my picture speak. It’s so good that not 1, not 2, I ordered 3 dishes in 1 go. Good portion size, and what was impressive was the taste is just like eating at Penang itself. Love it!
Neighbourhood kopitiam with variety of local noodles. One of the highlight is the Pan Mee stall in the center of the restaurant. Serving authentic full-flavour pan mee who's run by probably a Myanmese lady. Delicious pairing of chilli sauce too! Try it..
Sep 2024 review : My Top 5 Prawn Noodle. Price remains the same and I still finished it's soup. Feb 2024 review : Prawn Noodle @ RM 8 nett now but still very good lah. Feb 2023 review : Prawn Noodle @ RM 7 nett alone already 5 stars.
First time here and was quite impressed with the stall. Tried their prawn noodle which is very tasty...they served many other great stuff...will be back to try others
Tried their pork noodle, char keow tiau, curry mee and hokkien mee. Hokkien mee tastes the best among all. Curry mee taste is like a combination of curry mee and curry chicken. Quite nice. Pork noodle's soup is delicious. Penang char keow tiau is still the best. All food price is quite standard at about rm8. Reasonably priced.
